A Note from Dr. Anderson

Welcome to Fairview Elementary. It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of our school. I am excited to join this wonderful community and look forward to partnering with you to ensure every child receives a quality education. 

I grew up in a small, rural town in Minnesota and left for the University of Utah upon graduation. There I earned a Bachelor Science degree in Exercise Sport Science. Shortly after graduation, I married my husband, Sean, and we moved to Washington state where we began our family, and I earned a Masters in Education degree from Washington State University - Tri-Cities. I entered the teaching world in 2008 where I taught 1st, 3rd and 4th grades before transitioning to administration. In 2022, I earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Gonzaga University. I have been fortunate to teach and lead in both Washington and Texas. I recently completed my 18th year in education and 8th year in administration. 

I have four incredible kids. Harper is 9, Siri is 14, Jack is 19 and Sydney is 22. Sean and I have been married for 24 years, and we are so thrilled to be moving to Fairview. When I catch a few minutes of down time, I enjoy playing piano, singing, board games and quality time with my family. 

I believe every child can succeed when adults work together with trust, purpose and a shared commitment to excellence. I am honored to be a part of the Fairview community and I look forward to building something great with you.
